Hi, I’m Marina, and I never thought I’d be making traceable Bibles. But in 2020, something happened that changed the course of my life and eventually led to this project.

While working on a handwriting app for kids, I was also slowly learning to read the Bible. I have dyslexia, so it was a challenge. One day I thought, What if I could trace the verses instead?

When I tried it, everything shifted. Tracing God’s Word by hand was calming, meditative, and deeply connecting. It slowed me down enough to truly notice each word, and in that quiet space, I sensed God’s presence in a way I hadn’t before. This practice grew out of the faith God was already awakening in me, becoming a way to dwell more deeply with His Word.

Over time, tracing Scripture has also brought a deep sense of comfort into my daily life. It helps quiet the anxieties and stresses of modern living. Even on days when I don’t fully understand what I’m writing, there’s a serenity in the practice itself. In a world that’s always digital, fast, and on the computer, tracing God’s Word slows me down and gives me space to breathe.

For centuries, monks and contemplatives have turned to slow, intentional practices to quiet the mind and open the heart to God. Trace the Living Word invites you into that same tradition through the prayerful act of handwriting Scripture. Each page presents the exact King James text, arranged with line breaks inspired by the cadence of the original Hebrew, in a soft grey tracing font that gently guides your hand.

This is a kinesthetic prayer a way for the words to pass from your eyes, to your fingers, to your heart.
